Survivorship is every minute after the one in which you heard those fateful “you have cancer” words.

You might be in treatment now, or you might be living with no evidence of disease. Nonetheless, there are challenges to living beyond diagnosis. Wildfire bridges the gap between diagnosis and “who am I now?” You don’t have to go it alone.

 Frequently Asked Questions

for those invited to reactivate an existing subscription from our old website

  • On September 7th, 2023, we migrated from the website April created back in 2015 to a brand new website in order to give a better experience to our customers. While the website itself is so much better, there are a few growing pains to contend with. Chiefly, we were unable to migrate the existing subscriptions from the old site to the new site.

That means all of our subscribers have been asked to kindly reactivate their yearly subscriptions. Reactivation means a “new” subscription will begin from the date initiated and run for a year — either with monthly payments or one annual payment. (Discount codes have been emailed to subscribers who were active on September 7th to reduce the new subscriptions by the amount already spent on the subscription that was active when we migrated to the new site).

  • We will honor the issues you still had pending on your subscription when we migrated to the new site on September 7th; however, in order to have a current subscription now, we need you to start a new one on our new site. We were unable to migrate the existing subscriptions from the old site to the new site. Until you reactivate, you will not have access to the digital Wildfire Library (45+ issues in our archives, writing resources, storytelling event recordings, and past-issue bonus materials). You should have received a discount code via email that will reduce your new subscription by the amount of issues still pending on your “old” subscription. If you didn’t receive the discount code or need it sent to you again, please reach out to April at editor@wildfirecommunity.org.

  • Unfortunately, no. If you did not receive the discount code or need it sent to you again, please reach out to April at editor@wildfirecommunity.org.

  • Yes, activating your subscription through the new website not only gives you access to our Wildfire Library, but that is also the place where you can manage your subscription (update your billing and mailing information, etc.). We need every subscriber to reactivate through the new site.

  • Even though you received your subscription as a gift (and we love that!), you will reactivate via a new subscription on the new site. You should have received a discount code via email that will allow you to continue to get the rest of the gifted subscription for free (paying now for the portion of the year not covered by the gift). In a year from reactivation, you'll have the option to continue as a paid subscriber or cancel. If you did not receive the discount code or need it sent to you again, please reach out to April at editor@wildfirecommunity.org.

  • Absolutely. We are happy to help you modify your subscription to best suit your reading preferences. Email April at editor@wildfirecommunity.org for a unique discount code for this situation.

  • Our system runs on yearly subscriptions. The discount code essentially reduces a new yearly subscription by the amount you had outstanding on our “old” subscription that was active on September 7th when we migrated to the new system. Your new subscription will start up on the day you initiate it, and run for a year. The discount code reduces the new subscription by the amount of issues you are still owed.

  • Since this is a new website, you will create a new account with a new password (though you are welcome to use the same password from the old site).

  • We recognize that not all of our “yearly” customers will want the auto-renewal feature. While we are not able to switch it off or keep your access to the Wildfire Libary open if you cancel your payment, we do believe in communicating with you prior to charging you. You will receive an email from us alerting you that your subscription will be renewed. At that time, you will be able to either log into your account and cancel your subscription before the next payment, or you can simply reply to the email and let us know you'd like to cancel your subscription, and we'll shut it off at that point for you.

  • Please email April at editor@wildfirecommunity.org for help.

  • Absolutely - you can cancel at any time for a refund of the unused portion of your subscription. Note: canceling disables your access to the Subscriber Area / Wildfire Library immediately. You can cancel your subscription at the link to manage your account in the Subscribers Area.
