April Stearns, the founder of Wildfire Magazine and breast cancer survivor, shares her experience of HER2-positive breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, including an ultrasound, biopsy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment. Also, she shares the mental trauma she experienced through having breast cancer and how she utilized the power of journaling throughout her treatment plan. April launched Wildfire Magazine to support others going through cancer and share their experiences. April supports other entrepreneurs in the space and supports the idea of survivor-serving survivors.

April Stearns: Finding purpose and community through pain
April Stearns was 35 years old when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer, shortly after having her daughter. Through the traumatic events that shaped her life since cancer, she found escape in storytelling, not just her own story; but being an avenue for other women "too young" to get breast cancer.
Wildfire: Reclaiming Your Body After Breast Cancer
Reconnecting with your body after cancer is a long process. To get herself through it, April Stearns founded a magazine just for breast cancer patients and survivors like herself. Today, she joined the fellas to share different writing exercises to help feel at home in a new body after cancer.
